Castle Siege Event Guide
A full breakdown of the weekly Biryu Castle siege: the three forces (Defensive Alliance, Offensive Alliances, Independent Forces), how and when to register an Ashram, and the fees involved. It explains the Adigo capture mechanic, how the 15 Capture Points are shared and transferred, the four possible outcomes and the tiebreaker priority, plus tactical advice for each force and the benefits of owning the Castle.
The battle for Biryu Castle is a large-scale PvP event where Ashrams, Unions, and independent players compete for control of the castle and the exclusive benefits that come with Castle ownership. The event takes place every Saturday at 14:00 UTC.
An Ashram or player can belong to one of three forces: the Defensive Alliance, Offensive Alliance, or Independent Forces. The objective of each force is to capture the Adigos scattered throughout the Castle grounds and earn Capture Points during the Castle Siege. At the end of the event, the force with the highest score determines whether an Ashram will gain ownership of the Castle.
Owning a Castle comes with several benefits:
- “Lord of Biryu” Title — Granted to the owning Ashram and its ally.
- Exclusive Castle NPC — The owning Ashram and its ally gain access to an exclusive NPC that sells various items, including Potions, boosts, premium service extensions, and other special items. Some products may have limited stock.
- Castle-Exclusive Items — Certain items obtained through the Castle can only be used while the character belongs to the owning Ashram or its alliance.
- Future Benefits — Additional benefits are planned for future updates. These may include repeatable quests and access to the Castle Dungeon.
Alliances
All players can participate in the Castle Siege as long as they meet the level requirements to travel to Biryu Castle and have the resources required to pay any applicable registration fees. However, depending on the force they belong to, players can either defend the Castle's current ownership, attempt to take control of the Castle, or prevent any Ashram from owning it.
Defensive Alliance
A Defensive Alliance can exist as long as an Ashram and its Unions own the Castle. Its goal is to protect the Castle's ownership against Offensive and Independent Forces.
The Ashrams that currently own the Castle automatically become participants in the Defensive Alliance, and no registration fee is required. Other Ashrams can also register as supporting members of the Defensive Alliance to assist the leading Ashram in defending its ownership. A small registration fee is required for supporting Ashrams.
Offensive Alliance
The Offensive Alliances compete to gain ownership of the Castle. Up to three Offensive Alliances can exist at the same time. An Ashram that wants to claim ownership of the Castle must register as the leading force for one of the three available Offensive Alliance slots.
Additional Ashrams can register as supporting members of an Offensive Alliance to help the leading Ashram capture the Castle. A registration fee is required to participate in an Offensive Alliance.
Independent Forces
Any player who can travel to Biryu Castle automatically becomes a participant of the Independent Forces. Regardless of whether they belong to an Ashram, these players can compete to prevent any Ashram from owning the Castle.
If the Independent Forces win the event, ownership of the Castle becomes vacant. No registration fee is required to participate in the Independent Forces.
Registration
Players can register their Ashram and its Union by interacting with Biryu Administrator Yasita or by using the Siege Info shortcut located in the Command (C) window.
The registration window opens two minutes after the previous Castle Siege event ends and closes 30 minutes before the next Castle Siege begins.
A certain amount of Rupiah, as well as 10 Arichu, is required to register an Ashram for one of the participating forces. This registration fee covers both the Ashram and its Union.
Arichu can be obtained by defeating monsters throughout Biryu.
For the Offensive Factions, up to three Ashrams can register as leaders and compete for ownership of the Castle. However, the registration fee varies depending on the faction's priority. If two forces finish the event with the same number of Capture Points, the Offensive Faction with the higher priority will be determined as the winner and will subsequently become the owner of the Castle.
If all available Offensive Faction leader positions have been filled, other Ashrams can still register as supporting members of an Offensive or Defensive Alliance by paying a small registration fee of 3,000,000 Rupiah.
Event Mechanics
The Castle Siege event takes place every Saturday at 11 AM Server Time. The objective is to earn Capture Points by capturing the opponent's Adigo. At the end of the event, the force with the highest number of Capture Points will be declared the winner.
Capturing the Adigo
Once the event begins, 11 Adigo will spawn throughout the Castle grounds. These Adigo will initially appear green, indicating that they belong to the Defensive Alliance, regardless of whether the Castle currently has an owner.
An Adigo can be captured by destroying it. When an Adigo is captured, its color will change to match the Alliance or force that captured it. Throughout the event, players must either defend their own Adigo or move through the Castle grounds to capture those belonging to their opponents.
Capture Points
The Defensive Alliance starts the event with 15 points, while the Offensive Alliances and Independent Forces start with 0 points. When an Offensive Alliance or Independent Force captures an Adigo, it gains 1 point and the Defensive Alliance loses 1 point. Some Adigo are worth more than 1 point: the Adigo inside the Castle grants 3 points, while certain Adigo nearby grant 2 points.
For the Defensive Alliance to maintain ownership of the Castle, its members must protect their Adigo and recapture any that are captured by opposing forces. In other words, the 15 available points are distributed among the three forces throughout the event. Capturing an Adigo transfers its points from its current owner to the capturing force, while losing an Adigo causes the force to lose those points. As a result, only 15 points can exist in total at any given time during the event.
Castle Siege Results
At the end of the event, the force with the highest number of points is declared the winner. Depending on the result, one of four outcomes can occur:
- If the Defensive Alliance wins, Castle ownership remains unchanged. The Ashram that currently owns the Castle will continue to control it.
- If the Castle was unowned before the event, it will remain vacant until the next Castle Siege event.
- If an Offensive Alliance wins, Castle ownership is transferred to the winning Ashram.
- If the Independent Forces win, the Castle becomes vacant, leaving no Ashram in control and no one able to claim its ownership benefits.
- If two or more forces finish with the same number of points, Castle ownership is determined by the following priority list. The force with the highest priority is declared the winner and, when applicable, its Ashram becomes the Castle's owner:
- Defensive Alliance
- Offensive Alliance 1
- Offensive Alliance 2
- Offensive Alliance 3
- Independent Forces
Final Notes
Castle Siege is ultimately a battle of point control. Capturing Adigo is important, but holding those points and preventing your opponents from taking them back is what determines the outcome. Every Adigo contributes to the shared pool of 15 points, meaning that defending a valuable Adigo can be just as important as capturing one.
Players should work together with their Alliance and focus on the objectives rather than simply defeating opposing players. Controlling the Adigo inside and around the Castle can provide a significant advantage, while losing control of key positions can quickly shift the balance of the battle.
For the Defensive Alliance, the priority is to maintain control of the Adigo and recapture any that are lost. For the Offensive Alliances, capturing and holding Adigo is essential to build a lead and take ownership of the Castle. Meanwhile, the Independent Forces can disrupt both sides by capturing Adigo and preventing either Alliance from securing the required advantage.
Whether defending, attacking, or fighting independently, communication, coordination, and control of the Adigo are the keys to victory. Now, gather your allies, prepare your gear, and make your voices heard, because the first Castle Siege event starts this Saturday!
